From the very first page, this book had me completely hooked. I devoured it in one sitting and loved every second. Rune and Gideon’s dynamic is a slow burn done right their relationship unfolds with just the right amount of tension and depth. It’s utterly captivating.
The writing is immersive and vivid without over-explaining, and the plot moves with just the right rhythm. This story would translate so well to screen. It’s easy to follow, but not predictable. Emotionally charged moments are balanced with high-stakes action, making it a gripping read throughout.
As the first in a duology, it sets the stage beautifully and left me needing the next book immediately. An instant favourite.
